OpenCarrier was founded in September 2006 by a group of Internet Service Providers from the Greater Dusseldorf area. OpenCarrier works as a cooperative on a non-profit basis. OpenCarrier is a registered German non-profit association offering networkinfrastructure services (Layer 2 / Layer 3) to its members. Major POPs are located in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Amsterdam. Most of our members offer hosting, housing and colocation, but also access-services (DSL) and voice services.
